The MU-9000X USB HELI from AeroPerfect™ is a precision angle measurement system which represents the most advanced angle-measuring technology available for R/C Helicopters and Fixed-wing Aircraft! The MU-9000X USB HELI is a three-axis angle measuring system which provides a measurement resolution of .01 degrees! The angle sensor is a light-weight, absolute inclinometer which utilizes MEMS (micro electro-mechanical systems) technology to accurately measure angles over a 360° range. The cable from the angle sensing unit simply plugs into a standard USB port of any laptop or desktop computer running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. The MU-9000X USB HELI's powerful software provides pilots with many useful features. A single click is all that is needed to set a zero reference angle from which other comparative measurements are made. You do not have to level your heli first! If you do want to set something level, a precision, three-axis level is also provided and can be set with a single click.

The MU-9000X USB HELI will let you know when you've reached your desired angle by illuminating a green color bar. You choose when the color bar displays green by how you set the desired angle tolerance from a drop-down menu. A Large Digit View is provided for easy viewing in three measurement axes. The MU-9000X USB HELI allows you to keep track of all your heli's setups. Simply provide your configuration with a name and save it on your computer (e.g., "Vibe 90 Blade Pitch" or "Raptor Swash Setup"). You can even share your measurement configurations with other AeroPerfect™ users by email! (file formats are either .txt or .cfg)

Blade pitch measurements are easily made by setting your pitch gauge to zero and simply placing it onto a rotor blade (as you would normally). Use the MU-9000X USB HELI to aid in clamping your flybar so it is perpendicular to the heli shaft (parallel to tail boom). Then clamp the angle sensing unit onto your pitch gauge using the supplied nylon spring clamps. Now you can read blade pitch directly on your computer screen! No more messing with your pitch gauge's setscrew and guessing when the bottom of the pitch gauge is parallel to your heli's flybar! The MU-9000X USB HELI works with most commercially-available pitch gauges and it takes the guesswork out of setting your flybar paddles!

And what if your heli's blade pitch is expressed in inches or millimeters? The AeroPerfect™ MU-9000X USB HELI's built-in conversion utility will convert from either inches or millimeters (or any linear measurement units) to degrees with a single click! These angles are automatically loaded into the + and - target windows (your desired angles). As an example, please click on the thumbnail above-left, entitled, "Screen Shot, Zero Degrees, Axes 1 & 2": The blade width is 2.00 inches and the blade pitch range is expressed as +/- .25 inches. After clicking "Convert", this yields angles of +/- 7.18 degrees. The photographs below demonstrate how easy it is to measure and set blade pitch. No more messing around with your pitch gauge's set-screw and trying to line up the bottom of your pitch gauge to see if it's parallel to the flybar! You simply read the angle directly from your computer!
